Cd3 Louis Billiard : “the Cannes Beach”

Victor Marie Louis Billiard (1864-1952): “The beach in Cannes”, watercolor circa 1920 22 x 29 cm, mounted in a pretty 19th century gilded frame 25 x 32 cm. Much less lively than today, this beach captured by the Artist's brush! Visibly on the motif, see the repentance to the left of the tent, a veritable ghost of a summer visitor, the Mediterranean here takes on innumerable shades of blue under a uniform sky. This set of drawings and watercolors comes from the same collection, obviously all chosen with taste and framed with care and demonstrate a discernment that is as eclectic as it is qualitative.
