Lost wax bronze sculpture, representing the bust of Beethoven, signed on the base. It bears, on the back, the stamp of the founder Susse brothers Paris. Paul, Gaston, Déprez (1872-1941) was born and died in Avignon. He entered the Beaux-Arts in 1890. From 1892, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Aristes Français. He likes to work with wax, plaster and bronze. In 1912 he joined the group of 13, chaired by Clément Brun. This group of painters and sculptors from Avignon successfully organized 2 exhibitions in 1912 and 1913. The wax portrait of Beethoven is one of the most remarkable sculptures in the artist's work.
