A set of five small bronzes with green patina depicting characters from North Africa, some of whom are named like the Grand Vizier, the Arab. Each bronze bears the Kyna signature in hollow and is numbered out of 8 (Article 98 A of the General Tax Code: “Are considered works of art […] sculpture casts with a limited edition of eight copies […]” This regulation means therefore a sculpture obtained by foundry is considered an original work of art as long as it is produced in a limited edition of 8 copies maximum). Period: 20th century Height from 7 to 11 cm, total weight 3.5 kg Very good condition Kyna de Schouël (1939 -), French artist who lives and works in Cholet. Figurative and abstract art. Composition and decomposition of personal journeys, taste for the foreign and mystery. She uses charcoal, red chalk, wash but especially oil paint. For her abstract compositions, she works mainly with acrylic and encaustic paint. Knight of French Merit and Dedication and graduate of Merit from the Leonard de Vinci Academy. Present in numerous private and public collections in France and abroad. Among several prizes, received the public prize at the Paris Art Show artistic event in September 2019.
