Round miniature portrait painted in gouache representing an elegant officer in uniform with a distinguished bearing. His face is expressive, he has regular features and a frank look; his hair is receding but a few fine curly strands return to his forehead. He wears a blue uniform mixed with white with imposing fringed and gold epaulettes, a black stand-up collar edged in red at the top of which a white shirt peeks out. A decoration which could be a Legion of Honor is centered on his uniform. This portrait painted with great precision down to the smallest details is of great quality of execution.
