A handsome neo-Gothic style inkwell on bracket feet, the body comprising a penholder, inkwell, hourglass and pen compartment. The cups are removable. Rich ormolu decoration of Gothic fenestration, horses facing each other, the sides fitted with gripping handles.
This is an example of all the successful production in the troubadour style produced in the Paris workshops between 1821 and 1835, covered in glory at the Industrial Product Exhibitions.
