"Acid-cleared Favrile Glass Lamp Base, Cross-style Style, Circa 1900"
Rare glass lamp called favrile, a process invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany who during the manufacture of the glass integrates metallic oxides which give it these very particular reflections. Our lamp base is also treated with acid to give an orange granite finish on the surface and the lines of the iridescent blue glass crosspieces in the hollow. No apparent signature. Electrical installation in good condition. Period around 1900. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 80 euros rest of the world.
