Pretty pewter jug, Art Deco, by Ernest ROTHLISBERGER (1888 – 1964) Neufchâtel – Switzerland. Goldsmith, studied at the art school of La Chaux-de-Fonds, at l'Eplattenier, jeweler in Neuchâtel, where he created beautiful pieces of table silverware. But he is best known for his career as administrator of the Society of Friends of the Arts of Neuchâtel (1922-64) and his presidency from 1943. Jug in good condition, height without handle 24.5 cm, width with folded handle 23 cm, depth 9.3 cm.
