Canvas size 61*50 cm and 67*56 cm with frame Albert Genta, specialist painter of the nude Albert Genta was a French painter born on September 13, 1901 in Paris 12. Specialist of the nude, he is above all known for his works depicting nude women. Biography Albert Genta was born into a family of artists. His father was a sculptor and his mother a painter. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris where he received classical training in painting. In the 1920s, he began exhibiting his works at art fairs. He quickly gained notice for his paintings of female nudes. His works were often controversial because of their daring nature. In the 1950s, he began teaching painting at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. He continued to exhibit his works in salons and art galleries until his death in 1989.
