"Coffee Service On Tray, 950 Sterling Silver, Altenloh Brussels, 4.6 Kilos Empire "
Very elegant Empire style tea and coffee service on its original tray. The five pieces are in sterling silver of the first grade 950%. The service was made by the famous Brussels jeweler Altenloh, which explains the great refinement and know-how with which it was fashioned. Suppliers to the crown as well as to all the great families of the kingdom, the Altenloh family had a store on the Place Royale in the center of the Belgian capital. Their mansion now houses the Magritte museum. Great fans of French style, their eclectic goldwork is often exact replicas of French objects from the eighteenth century and the Empire period. The set weighs a generous 4600 grams.
