"Japan - Covered Box In Lacquered Bronze In Takamaki-e - Edo Period."
JAPAN - Edo period (1603 - 1868) Covered bronze box with brown patina, the lid decorated with a knotted cord. It is lacquered in takamaki-e decorated with magnolias, hollyhocks, vines and birds. The interior decorated with brown and red moiré lacquer. Very slight wear to the lacquer. Dimensions: 10 x 14 x 10 cm
