All that remains is to match the lampshades!! They adorned an office in a castle in Languedoc. Did you know ? : The regula appeared in the 19th century to give the illusion of bronze. It was used more and more during the First World War to replace copper in the creation of art objects and decorations, copper being rationed at the time for the manufacture of munitions. The confusion created by the use and sale on the market of two materials that are so similar and yet very different, especially in terms of their value, weakens this same market and good sales. The obligation to affix “imitation bronze” to objects made of regula or other imitations appeared in 1910, but it did not completely prevent the fake scam. Bronze first differs from the regula by its weight, it is much heavier and more solid than its counterpart. However, weight is not a really reliable indicator in differentiating between the two, because repel objects are often weighed down with lead or other weighting agent to resemble bronze as closely as possible. It is also more fragile and brittle.
