Beautiful original watercolor and gouache in Art Deco spirit
on paper 293 x 235 mm, signed in the drawing lower right.
Very good state.
Titled at the top: To each their own egg! Indication in black ink on the back: Blue/Red, to be photographed as is to be delivered on March 10, 1924.
This watercolor was reproduced as is in the Easter issue of the magazine Le Sourire, in 1924 (see photo 2, PLEASE NOTE , this document will not be supplied with the watercolor, it is a reproduction of the copy from the BnF website given here for information purposes only). Fernand Couderc (? – around 1934), Member of the Humorists, mainly an advertising designer. In 1921, he failed the Civic Progress competition. He draws for the magazines: Pages Folles – Le Sourire – Paris-Plaisirs – Froufrou – Gens qui rits – Jean qui rit (ref. Dico-Solo, p. 141).
