Louis XV period fan. The leaf is made of skin, it is painted in gouache of the famous mythological scene of the judgment of Paris in which the god Hermes asked the shepherd Pâris to design the most beautiful goddess between Athena, Hera and Aphrodite by handing over a golden apple to the winner. Pretty frame pierced, engraved, painted and gilded. The fan measures 11,81 inches closed and 21,65 inches in diameter open. Circa 1750.
