"Adrien Dauzats Market Scene In Bordeaux"
Pen drawing by Adrien Dauzats (1804-1868), the famous French vedutist of the 19th century, representing a market in Bordeaux in 1832. The drawing is monogrammed, dated 1832 and located at the bottom right and bears the stamp of sale in bottom left. It is framed in an attractive pitch pine frame with ebonized wood fillets and measures 23.5x39 cm unframed. It would be necessary to verify whether the drawing is not an illustration project for the picturesque and romantic journeys in ancient France of Baron Taylor, to which he was one of the main contributors.
