4 colored brass instruments in the mezzotint style by Mario Avati for spring, summer, autumn and winter, presented under the title "The Four Seasons". The brass measures 140 x 185 mm. All prints are signed, titled and numbered in pencil by the artist.
The edition was strictly limited to 126 copies, i.e. 100 numbered from 1/100 to 100/100 and 26 numbered from A/Z to Z/Z.
A print run of 50 full copper proofs reproducing the 4 seasons had previously been made, before it was divided into 4 distinct subjects, which, reworked, are the subject of this edition.
Here, 1 of the first 4 copies (numbered 4/100 and signed in pencil) to which it was attached for the print “L'Hiver”:
- the states (5th, 6th and 7th state, all printed in 1 single copy N°1/1)
- the decompositions of black and colors (printed in 1 single copy N°1/1)
