"Baroque Commode Central Europe (west-south Poland Or Germany?), Circa 1750"
Baroque chest of drawers Central Europe (west-south Poland or Germany?), circa 1750 With straight sides and wavy front and slightly protruding top, imitating the contour of the body, with four drawers, veneered, supported by four flattened spherical feet. The edge of the worktop is made of a quarter round. The table top (and drawer faces) feature geometric fields marked with rectangles. The lower body is covered with a profiled strip. Brass fittings and sheet metal: mortise locks, single bolt; locking panels close to an oval, with a wavy outline, panels with a skin-shaped handle. There is a star-shaped inlay on the worktop. A typical Baroque chest of drawers in terms of shape and decoration. Handcrafted Very good condition Origin: Poland or Germany Material: Walnut, many others like mahogany Dimensions: length 113 cm, depth 58 cm, height 86 cm I recommend the very attractive price of the furniture, it's worth it to invest in baroque furniture!!!
