Pewter bowl with console ears and flat roof lid with swinging grip, decorated in relief with palmettes, stylized motifs and gadroon friezes.
Hallmark of Jean LANTY received master in 1754: three bezants /JEAN LANTY.
Engraved BLM property mark
Length: 10 inches.
RODEZ, Second half of the 18th century

This flat roof model predates the nippled lid model that appeared under the Regency, so we see here that in small production centers, the molds were very expensive, the masters still used them for a long time after the adoption of new forms by the major centers.
This elegant bowl of Toulouse typology is in perfect condition and of good quality material
