"“veiled Nudity” Signed Drian (adrien Désiré étienne) Drawing Gouache Or Watercolor And Pencil"
Drian, whose birth name is Adrien Désiré Étienne (1885/1961), is an illustrator and painter. He studied at the Julian Academy, then he participated, at the beginning of the 20th century, among others in the "Gazette du bon ton" and the "Journal des dames".After the war he did fashion illustrations in France in "L'illustration". He illustrates novels but also participates in window and office decorations. In addition, he also paints in oil and makes portraits.
The drawing is probably a gouache (or watercolor) enhanced with pencil and red chalk.
There are a few stains on the edges of the paper (see photos).
