From the current 3rd state, the artist changed the posture of the mother at the bottom right; in fact, instead of having her back and making the gesture of leaning backwards, she appears in profile and leans forward. In the new 4th state, the artist puts a high hat on the man who, terrified, has his arms open. In the 5th state, exhibited here (previously, the 8th), the artist changed the face of the young girl at the bottom of the previous figure; he also made numerous alterations to his leg and put a cap on the old man on the left. From the 5th state, he carries out small interventions on the plate in order to strengthen the areas damaged by successive prints.
