"Caryatid In Carved Walnut From The 16th Century"


Walnut caryatid, corner element of a beautiful carved chest.
Rhone Valley, 16th century period.

Height: 45.6 cm
Max width: 14 cm

To report : some ancient traces of xylophagous. The caryatid is made up of two pieces of walnut assembled at an angle, the joint of the assembly is slightly visible on the face, it is not a crack.
