"Important Popular Art Fountain, Glazed Terracotta, Late 18th/early 19th Century"
Superb, unusual and spectacular folk art fountain of the "gourd" type in yellow ocher glazed terracotta made in Ain and more precisely in Meillonnas at the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century. Indeed a mention on the back engraved in hollow explains the origin of the object: "It was made by Nallet Eugène aged 19 years living in the commune of Meillonnas (Ain)" Note: -The presence of an accident at the base with a part which was previously broken and glued back together. -The presence of a crack which comes from this same accident. -The absence of the cover. Dimensions: -Height: 51cm -Diameter: 36cm
