Jean des Acres also distinguished himself during the siege of La Rochelle where he commanded one of the King’s ships.
The Acres family is a noble family of ancient Normandy extraction, on evidence of 1491. She received the titles of baron and marquis of the Eagle.
The knight is represented in armor, he wears the white sash, official mark of royal power in France. He also bears on his chest the cross of the Knights of the Order of Malta.
