Beautiful old fan from the end of the 18th century. The double cabretille leaf painted with gouache, golden ornamentation. The face of a large composition of entertainment scenes in the grounds of a castle. Young women, children and men of quality are near a body of water where a crew is sailing surrounded by swans. On the reverse, another maritime scene with figures and boat. The frame pierced, sculpted and applied with two-tone gold leaf. Rich floral decoration on all the strands. Our fan is equipped with its original red trimmings pompom decorated with turquoise beads.
