She is shown seated, in a slightly reclining position. She is wearing an embroidered side dress with a low neckline and lace braid. A gathered silk scarf is draped over her right shoulder. Her grey curls, which contrast with her youthful appearance, indicate an advanced age.
The painting is in its original frame. Paris circa 1700
The painting was bought from the famous Turin art dealer Pietro Accorsi in the 1970s by the Bruni Tedeschi art collection.
