Biography of the artist: Coming from a Lyon family, Maurice PERRIER, known by his artist name Paul-Maurice PERRIER-MORILLON (P-M.P-M), was born on August 14, 1925 in Marseille. In 1948 he married and went with his wife Odette to Chile. After 10 years of living in Chile, he returned to France and settled temporarily near Lyon with the idea of working with his hands. The happy coincidences of life then allowed him to be introduced to the work of brasswork and in a few months he handled the hammer and soldering work perfectly. At the end of the 60s, he exhibited in Munich, London, Athens, Dallas…. He created the association of coppersmiths and metal potters. Helped by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in 1966 he opened a gallery in Lyon under the name: “Formes et Muraux”. In 1974, he went to the United States for four months to give lectures at different universities, in 1979, he published "Le livre du Dinandier" and in 1998 "Dinanderies profane et sacrées". The need to create would haunt him throughout his life, until his death in January 2004. Following a large donation from his wife in 2016 to the town hall of Tournette (Var), an “art and essay” museum was created, the realization of this agreement making it possible to give new life to the works of the artist.
