In the center two men in arms and ceremonial clothing in Renaissance style. Between them, a heraldic coat of arms with a haloed double-headed eagle, surmounted by a crown. Just below is the date 1587, framed by two coats of arms of the canton of Glarus with the image of Saint Fridolin, represented above.
At the top are two scenes from the life of Saint John the Baptist. On the left: the baptism of Christ. Right: his execution, ordered by Hérodiade and her daughter Salomé, who watch the scene in front of the door.
Technique: lead-set glass, grisaille paint, silver yellow and coloured enamels.
