"Pair Of Wooden Sculptures. Allegorical Figures Holding Cornucopia. Central Italy, XVIIth C."
Pair of children dressed in the old style with large flowing robe finely worked with gold leaf and gold-finished lacquer. These allegorical figures were probably designed for domestic furnishings and differ from the typical religious typologies of these types of objects depicting winged angels.
The condition is excellent, especially the lacquer and gold.
It is probable that these objects were created in the Papal States or in central and southern Italy during the second half of the 17th century.
The height measurements of the objects are 61 cm.
We attach a certificate of authenticity to the sale.
