Chest of drawers in rosewood marquetry Antoine CRIAERD Regency period Stamp A CRIAERD and jurande JME hallmark on the 2 uprights Royal Red Belgian marble top with corbin beak Curved front opening with 5 drawers in 3 rows and highlighted with rosewood fillets Trim in original gilded bronze As well as the locks with 2 working rear keys Rounded uprights Oak frame In very good condition Stamp varnished Antoine CRIAERD, of Flemish origin, older brother of the cabinetmaker Mathieu CRIAERD, he practices the same profession in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine during the period 1720-1750. He supplied furniture to the cabinetmaker and merchant Migeon. The works which bear his stamp are linked to the style of the Regency or the beginning of the reign of Louis XV.
