"Baroque Crossbow Commode, Germany Period XVIII Eme, Walnut And Walnut Veneer"
Rare crossbow chest of drawers in walnut and walnut veneer (for the top), called "baroque". Germany, first half of the 18th century. The front of this piece of furniture is magnificently animated, it opens with three drawers, each with a lock. The sides are decorated with beautiful moldings worked in medallions. These moldings are also recalled on the front of the furniture. Furniture resting on four ball feet. Our chest of drawers is in good used condition. However, it has undergone customary restorations (traditional wax fillings / small joints at the level of the drawers - see photos), in particular a veneer graft on the top. It also shows minor signs of wear. This piece of furniture is sold with its key that operates the three locks.
