Delicate mother-of-pearl and brass box from the Napoleon III 19th century period. Two mother-of-pearl shells serve as containers for this charming box, on top a group of two birds around their nest decorated with a pair of pearls depicting their eggs. An allegory of union and family. The box rests on six feet covered with small mother-of-pearl shells, all decorated with garlands of flowers and interlacing. Precious object in excellent condition.
