Very beautiful scene of infantry on the march accompanied by two horsemen oil on wood 16cm x 22cm plus period frame with some small gaps which I point out so as not to be criticized 35cm x 40cm painting signed lower right A GAUBAULT French artist born in Paris is a history painter, most of the time representing battle scenes. He began at the Paris Salon in 1880 (excerpt from Bénézit) His works regularly go on public sale and his price is quite high, free shipping to the European Union.
