Two large gold threads outline the base and a large gold thread surrounds the lid topped with a golden fret. The printed mark "Glassware, Crystals, Porcelain, J FONTEMOING &L PEIGNEY, 13 rue de l'Odéon in Paris" is located under each of the pots.
Paris, France Louis-Philippe period (1830-1848)
Good general condition, but note a crack under the Ung AEgypt pot.
NB: These pots, in good condition, are very decorative with this slightly exotic decor which refers to pharmacy and Antiquity. The broken column symbolizes pain and the snake recalls the one coiled on the staff of Asclepius (or Aesculapius, god of medicine) which symbolizes healing.
