Ernest Quost (1842-1931). French impressionist painter specializing in landscape and still life painting. Exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1866 and at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, where he received the silver medal. His flowers were appreciated by his peers, including Monet and Van Gogh.
