Alfred HAZLEDINE (1876-1957) Snowy landscape Oil on canvas Signed lower left 27 x 40 cm With frame: 36 x 50 cm Belgian painter, student of Ernest Blanc-Garin and Adrien-Joseph Heymans. He lived and worked in Wechelderzande, where a veritable artists' colony existed. He mainly paints impressionist style landscapes. Hazledine was a member of the Vie et Lumière group which brought together impressionists and luminists, and was also a member of L'Estampe and the National Federation of Painters and Sculptors of Belgium.
