Egisto SARRI, Italian painter, active in the 19th century (1837-1901) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence where he was one of the best students of Antonio CISERI.
This painting reveals to us the great mastery and poetic sensitivity of the artist. He manages to give this work a completely personal touch with great expressive power, faithful to the academic style of his master A. CISERI.
Famous for its Pompeian and Religious scenes and its Portraits (Rossini 1866 - Vittorio Emanuele II 1870...) Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
