POPULAR ART RELIGIOUS ART PRIMITIVIST VIRGIN SCULPTURE CARVED OAK COMTAT DE FORCALQUIER 19TH CENTURY Beautiful primitivist virgin in carved oak, 19th century. She has an elongated oval face and very almond-shaped eyes. She sits in majesty, knees, feet and hands together. A draped veil surrounds her head with its high, rounded forehead. Beautiful tawny, honey to brown patina. Fixing holes are still present on its left side. Good condition (marks, traces, gaps; see descriptive photos). Weight: 419 grams.
