"Attributed To Pierre-philippe Thomire, A Huge Pair Of Candlesticks With Six Light Points"
A pair of very high quality large figurative bronze Empire candlesticks with six arms. The beautifully decorated arms are stabilized on a month of fruit and flowers carried by the arms of Victoria. Victoira female figures have feathered hair with long strips of hair hanging down the wings. These large figures rest on a sphere mounted on a marble base with elegant golden decoration. These rare candlesticks are not signed but are comparable in design and quality to other candlesticks and bronze statues by Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1751-1843).
