Jean Nadal stamp on the back on the I.NADAL belt with the characteristic N upside down. Work around 1750.
Jean Nadal is the oldest of a family of Parisian carpenters. The date of his master's degree is unknown. He was established on rue de Cléry and according to certain sources, it is believed that he was still carrying out his activity in the last years of the reign of Louis XV. Many seats, of good quality and soberly decorated with leaves and rockeries, bear his stamp. His two sons, Jean-René and Jean-Michel, also master carpenters, inherited their father's talent.
