Napoleon III Regency period wall cartel. Sumptuous Boulle marquetry composed of brass fillet on a brown tortoiseshell background, finely chiseled gilded bronze ornamentation decorated with masks and foliage. In the center the interior is visible from a glass part, the space is occupied by a gilded bronze sun pendulum. Bronze dial with twelve enameled cartridges. All of the marquetry has benefited from a varnish providing shine, contrast and protection. Revised movement, striking an old bell at the passing of the hour and half hour.
