"Pretty Young Woman With Song Score, Pastel 18th Century, Very Good Condition."
Very pretty 18th century pastel portrait of an elegant young woman holding her musical score of a song as we discover a few short sentences. Pastel in a dazzling dominant blue, this very beautiful blue is offered to our eyes by the upper bust of its fine silky dress with discreet white spotted patterns; the young woman is in indoor or reception clothing, a dress whose surrounds at the bodice, around the neck and at the top of the shoulders are made of pleated silk lace; at the top of the shoulders is placed naturally, like a luxurious covering, a stole falling towards the back in light bluish-gray silk spotted with discreet white flower motifs. Very pretty young lady with great fresh eyes, Pompadour hair and fresh makeup. The so-called morning pompadour hairstyle was created under Louis XV by Legros de Rumigny (1710-1770), hairdresser and designer. 18th century pastel in very good condition, in its original frame and under its period glass.
