Portrait of the painter Antoine Berjon (Lyon, 1754 – Lyon, 1843)

Located, dated and monogrammed lower left LYON / JR 1854, dedicated lower right  A BERJON / DESSINATEUR ET PROFESSEUR / XVIII-et-XIXè Siècle.

Original frame in gilded wood, original mounting and glass
Dimensions with the frame : 63.5 x 52.5 cm

Note : Jules Reybaud was the designer of the work and Jean-Jacques Ringard the weaver. The work was exhibited at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1855. Another example of this work is in the collections of the Lyon Fabric Museum.
