Watercolor drawing representing the concierge service seen from the banks of the Seine in Paris attributed to Edouard Dufeu (1836-1900) trace of signature at the bottom left and dated 1889, on the reverse inscription in Dufeu ink. Edouard Dufeu is a French artist whose family is of Egyptian origin, which undoubtedly earned him a commission from the vice king of Egypt, after which he exhibited at the salon of French artists from 1865 to 1890. He was, however, relatively little known by During his lifetime, it was after his death that his friends, including Ms. Berne-Bellecourt, highlighted his work, some of which is kept at the Petit Palais in Parsi. It is kept in a delicately decorated frame in wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf.
