A large chest of drawers with a strong architectural style, resting on four sheathed legs with fluted and filleted corners and moulded fronts. It opens to five drawers, three of which have keys. Beautiful bronze ornamentation such as lock escutcheons and pull handles.
Capped with elegant reddish-brown Flanders marble. The frame and drawers are beautifully finished.
Because of the use of walnut, but also because of its meticulous craftsmanship, this piece of furniture can be compared to the furniture made by cabinet makers in the East of France, for example in the Dijon region: the masters Demoulin and Courte produced this type of furniture combining fluting in the corners and sheathed feet as well as this lower belt line.

Piece of furniture in good home condition, with wear from use and restorations. Two locks changed.
