Elegant suite of four nesting tables with Japanese decoration from the late 19th century signed on an enameled plate DAÏ-NIPPON manufacturer in Paris 3&5 boulevard des Capucines (famous Parisian house created in 1889 specializing in Far Eastern furniture like Eugène Viardot, The Crystal Staircase and Perret and Vibert...). Structure in exotic wood with carved and openwork legs inspired by Sino-Japanese motifs resting on dragon profiles, the rosewood veneer tops are decorated with marquetry of mother-of-pearl, ivory, yellow copper and silver depicting birds, insects, rodents, utensils and plants etc... Good state of conservation.
