"Flowers" Oil on canvas signed lower right Jacques Bartoli. Titled, countersigned and located in Toulon on the back. Dimensions: 73x54cm excluding frame Born in Sollocaro in 1920, a small Corsican village near Ajaccio, Jacques Bartoli moved to Toulon in 1938. Enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in 1941, Eugène Baboulène whose workshop he frequented, becomes his advisor and friend. The glazing process after roughing highlights the chromatic freshness of his interior visions. He won numerous awards, and exhibited with the Drouant gallery throughout the world.
