Great Buddha Maravijaya, the Awakened One is represented in vajrasana on his double lotiform base, in bhumisparsha mudra. Burma, Shan States, Konbaung period around 1800. Carved wood, black, gilded lacquer. Very good state of conservation. Provenance: Estate of the art dealer Claude de Marteau.
