"18th Century Message Case"
Xlllème message case in Martin varnish, tortoiseshell and silver. It is speckled with black on an orange-red background, the interior is in tortoiseshell, the rings in chiseled silver. L: 14cm l: 2cm Message cases were used in the 18th century to send letters; the letters were rolled in these tubes and given to the servants who served as postmen. Our beautiful case is in good condition.
