Riccardo Pellegrini (Milan, 1863 - Crescenzago, March 31, 1934) was an Italian painter.
Trained in the Milan of Romanticism, he studied in Rome and Naples, followed by Domenico Morelli; he traveled extensively to the nations of Europe, including England, France and Spain, the latter an important source of inspiration for the Spanish rustic subjects of many of his paintings.
An exhibition was dedicated to him in Pisa with 19 canvases on display.
The trip to Spain also inspired him in his work as an illustrator, which saw him produce drawings for major magazines of the time. Also in Spain he illustrated Cervantes' Don Quixote and Alain-René Lesage's Gil Blas.
He then produced many subjects for postcards that are now collectible.
His remains rest in Milan's Monumental Cemetery.
