Died in France in 1977 Arriving in France in 1925, he participated in drawing exhibitions at his high school near Odessa. After the First World War, he moved to Belgrade with his wife where he painted and exhibited around fifty paintings for the first time. Installed in Paris in 1925, he enrolled at Grance Chaumière. He frequented Bissière and Zadkine. Resistant, he returned to Paris upon liberation. He participates in numerous Parisian salons; d'Automne, des Indépendants, Comparisons. In 1942 he participated in the Salon des Indépendants in Toulouse and, in 1956, in the exhibition of French painters organized by André Achard and in 1965 at the Parke Bernet gallery in New York. His first personal exhibition in Paris dates from 1929. In 1945, he held an exhibition in Agen for the benefit of prisoners. He exhibited in 1949 at the Lucy Krogh gallery. A retrospective of his works was organized in 1954 by Mrs. Paul Valery. Towards the end of his life, he sold and exhibited at Arthur Beren (Philadelphia), at André Weil and in Arizona, Finland and Sweden. Influenced at the beginning by neo-cubism, he broke away from it, remaining faithful however to the architectural construction of space. In his rigorously composed canvases, most often predominantly blue, he seeks to bring out the essence of beings and things.
