"Masonic Cane - 1819 - 19th Century"
Masonic cane, Restoration period (1819) - 19th century. Prominent stamped brass pommel with a central medallion on the top depicting a 30° double-headed eagle surmounted by a radiating heart with a motto around the edge (partly illegible). Inscription in crown: "ARROP:. DES G CHEV:. HRDR DES KOMMANDEURS DU MONT THARON:. VAL DE PARIS G.O. 5819". The perimeter decorated with the symbol of the eye in a radiating delta surmounted by a heart. Bottom of the pommel in the shape of a Corinthian capital decorated with rows of acanthus leaves. Medlar wood shaft with a brass cap at the end carrying an olive branch and a conical iron ferrule tip. Length: 116 cm Diameter of the pommel: 8.5 cm Height of the pommel: 10 cm and 16 cm with its ring. Height of bolt and ferrule: 17 cm.
